On the 13th of July, 2010, I will be traveling from Nashville Tennessee to Miami FL to join a team of folks from the Pensacola Florida area. This team will spend eight days in an area about 45 minutes outside of Lima Peru in an area called San Juan de Lurigancho and specifically in an area known as Santa Rosita. There we will be working alongside an in-country team to build houses and a community center. The cost to complete the community center is approximately $2,000.00 and the cost per home is approximately $800.00. Now, that sounds pretty inexpensive to build a house but we are talking about a concrete floor, four walls and a roof. for more information on the project visit the project website at reimagineworldwide.org .
